Commercial Litigation Associate


Salary/Package

$260,000 to $280,000 basic salary + bonus + package dependant with qualifications and experience

Responsibilities :

  • Experience with all phases of commercial litigation
  • Conducting factual investigations and discovery
  • Preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients
  • Experience in both state and federal court is preferred
  • Experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial


Candidate requirements :

  • 5 - 7 years of Commercial Litigation experience ideally across a broad spectrum of commercial disciplines e.g. health law, breach of contract, antitrust and privacy, finance/banking, consumer fraud etc
  • Strong experience across investigations and discovery, pleadings, depositions, arguing motions and client communication
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • The ability to effectively handle multiple projects and articulate legal strategies
  • Proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial
  • 1800 billable hours and an expectation to do business development to grow a portable book and eventually become a partner


Certifications :

Candidate must be admitted and able to practice in Illinois
