About the Role:
Lateral Link is assisting a prestigious law firm in Chicago with an UNPOSTED search for a Labor & Employment Attorney with 2-6 years of management-side law firm experience to handle various litigation, advice, and counseling matters. Ideal candidate will have employment litigation experience, including single-plaintiff actions involving discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenant/trade secret misappropriation and whistleblowing, as well as employment class actions and wage-and-hour collective actions. Experience in all (or most) of the following is preferred:
- Conducting internal investigations, responding to demand letters, drafting position statements, handling discovery (including eDiscovery); researching and drafting motions and briefs; preparing for witness interviews and/or depositions, taking and/or defending depositions; working with expert witnesses; preparing for arguments, arbitrations, hearings and trial.
- Providing advice and counseling on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment and separation agreements, reductions in-force, and employment related policies.

Requirements:
Candidates must have an active license to practice law in the U.S., a law degree from a top tier law school, and at least 2+ years of post-JD experience in L&E matters in a sophisticated law firm setting .
