Montgomery Automotive Group is a leading group of dealerships in the area and our Big M Chevrolet Store in Radcliff is currently hiring an automotive parts manager. Someone in this position can expect to lead our parts department, communicate with other managers within the dealership, and monitor the selling of parts. The preferred candidate for this role is someone who has Chevrolet or General Motors parts experience.
Big M Chevrolet Parts Manager - Essential Duties
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
- Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts and the do-it-yourself public.
- Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate enough gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
- Sets and enforces a policy on the special ordering of parts. Ensures that stock orders represent at least (established %) percent of all orders.
- Analyzes departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness.
- Handles customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.
- Ensures that all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
- Other duties as assigned.
Parts Manager Requirements:
- Must have 5 years of parts management experience.
- Must have General Motors or Chevrolet automotive management experience.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Must have steady work history.
- Must have a valid driver's license
