Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, managing all aspects of their insurance needs.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of clients’ insurance programs to ensure coverage adequacy and identify any gaps.
- Provide expert advice on personal insurance products, including homeowners, auto, umbrella, fine art, jewelry, and other specialized coverages.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and proactively recommending solutions.
- Policy Administration:
- Oversee the placement of new policies, renewals, and endorsements.
- Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate terms and secure the best possible coverage for clients.
- Ensure all client documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry regulations.
- Manage claims processes, advocating for clients and ensuring swift resolution.
- Business Development:
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within your client portfolio.
- Support the sales team in acquiring new high-net-worth clients by providing expertise in personal insurance solutions.
- Participate in networking events and industry conferences to represent the firm and generate new business leads.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior account managers and support staff.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and business development, to enhance client service offerings.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the Private Client Services team.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in personal insurance, with a focus on high-net-worth clients.
- Proven track record of managing complex insurance portfolios and delivering exceptional client service.
- Experience in negotiating with underwriters and carriers on behalf of clients.
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC are highly desirable.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of personal insurance products and markets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex insurance needs and design appropriate solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
