Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, managing all aspects of their insurance needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of clients’ insurance programs to ensure coverage adequacy and identify any gaps.
  • Provide expert advice on personal insurance products, including homeowners, auto, umbrella, fine art, jewelry, and other specialized coverages.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and proactively recommending solutions.
  • Policy Administration:
  • Oversee the placement of new policies, renewals, and endorsements.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate terms and secure the best possible coverage for clients.
  • Ensure all client documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry regulations.
  • Manage claims processes, advocating for clients and ensuring swift resolution.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within your client portfolio.
  • Support the sales team in acquiring new high-net-worth clients by providing expertise in personal insurance solutions.
  • Participate in networking events and industry conferences to represent the firm and generate new business leads.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior account managers and support staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and business development, to enhance client service offerings.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the Private Client Services team.


Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in personal insurance, with a focus on high-net-worth clients.
  • Proven track record of managing complex insurance portfolios and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Experience in negotiating with underwriters and carriers on behalf of clients.
  • Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC are highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of personal insurance products and markets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex insurance needs and design appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
