- Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- 5+ years of operational/clinical pharmacy management work experience in academic and inpatient pharmacy environments, three (3) years of which as a direct supervisor or team leader.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with leaders and multiple disciplines; talent in the selection and mentoring of a high-quality, effective team; proven ability to lead change, organize teams, and delegate responsibility appropriately; proven ability to use data to drive performance improvement; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate autonomous action. Ability to effectively communicate to diverse groups in a variety of mediums (written, oral, presentation).

Day-to-Day:
The Charleston Division Director of Inpatient Pharmacy reports directly to the System Executive Director Inpatient Pharmacy and is responsible and accountable for direct oversight, planning, and coordination of inpatient pharmacy for the Division. This role interacts pro-actively with leaders, physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care delivery team to achieve desired outcomes across the division. The Director of Inpatient Pharmacy not only represents areas under their direct responsibility but also provides leadership around division wide initiatives to improve patient care, clinical effectiveness, and patient access and to optimize patient experience and quality. This includes major projects, operational improvement initiatives, and collaborating with other leaders to enhance the financial and quality goals of the organization. This position works collaboratively with the System Executive Director Inpatient Pharmacy to ensure processes and standards are implemented and successful at the division level and serves as the primary liaison in their area between the System Executive Director Inpatient Pharmacy and the facility/operational/clinical leaders and performs other duties as assigned. Leadership: * Operational oversight, management as well as primary operational liaison between clinical and ancillary service lines. * Represents the System Executive Director Inpatient Pharmacy in work groups and committees as requested. * Provide hands-on leadership and operational improvement subject matter expertise to division specific projects and operational improvement teams. * Ensure alignment to divisional operational plans and strategic priorities. Strategy/Financial: * In collaboration with System Executive Director Inpatient Pharmacy and other departments across the Division, assist with projects and initiatives to further the strategic mission and goals of the organization * Communicate and guide teams to meet the overall strategic intent. * Provide oversight of budget and variances for areas of responsibilities. Quality and Service: * Assess staffing across areas of responsibility to ensure alignment with national benchmarks and needs. * Ensure optimal care team member, provider, and patient experience. * Develop strategies to ensure standardization of patient and provider experiences across all areas of responsibility. Operational Performance: * Optimize operations across areas of responsibility. * Develop and implement strategies to ensure adequate space utilization. * Ensure standardization of operations across division. * Establish and maintain operational excellence across division.
