Project Coordinator/Scrum Master: ***100% Remote, MUST be local to Chicago, IL***


Job Summary:

Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking a mid-level Project Coordinator/Scrum Master to support Agile teams in delivering custom software solutions. The ideal candidate will manage project timelines, facilitate communication, track progress using Jira, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. You will organize sprints, drive task completion, and collaborate with both onsite and remote teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Use Jira to track and manage tasks, ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and remote teams to resolve issues and achieve sprint goals.
  • Monitor team performance and project progress, providing regular updates.
  • Ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain project documentation, including backlogs and plans.
  • Provide weekly/monthly status reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage and track project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Oversee time tracking and resource management processes.
  • Support Agile practices and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Liaise between development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment.


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
  • Strong experience using Jira for task and project tracking.
  • Background in custom software development projects.
  • Proven ability to manage remote teams across time zones.
  • Experience with multi-million dollar project budgets.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Familiar with time tracking and resource management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
