Job Summary

We seek a dynamic and results-driven Director of HVAC/Plumbing Preconstruction to lead and optimize preconstruction operations in the commercial mechanical construction sector. This leadership role demands extensive HVAC and plumbing systems expertise and a strategic mindset for design, engineering, estimating, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of industry-leading software tools and a proven ability to drive project success from concept to bid.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve all HVAC and plumbing preconstruction efforts, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with project goals.
• Guide design and engineering phases to guarantee technical accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop precise cost models and comprehensive budgets for diverse projects, from initial concepts through final bids.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout preconstruction.
• Leverage advanced tools such as Revit, Trimble AutoBid, and other industry-specific software to streamline project planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in a preconstruction leadership role within the commercial mechanical construction industry, focusing on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems, with hands-on experience in design-build and design-assist projects.
• Advanced skills in Revit, Trimble AutoBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
• Proven success in identifying solutions for complex preconstruction challenges and implementing effective strategies.
• Preference for candidates with a local and stable work history in Honolulu, HI, or those willing to relocate.
