Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong backend developer to join a growing team based in Columbia, SC. This team is actively working to modernize and optimize their enterprise applications! The ideal candidate is local to the greater Columbia, SC area and willing to work both as an individual and as a team!

The backend developer will be responsible for the design and development of APIs in support of data driven applications across multiple systems.

Duties:

• Collaborate with solution architects to understand the business objectives and technical specifications in order to design APIs.
• Create and maintain backend code using Java, Python, and SQL to enhance data exchanges across systems.
• Analyze existing code, identify areas of improvement, and create recommendations to optimize application performance.
• Ensure code coverage, testing and debugging code to ensure minimal defect rates.
• Create documentation of applications and coding efforts to be used by production teams and end-user training.

Qualifications:

• Strong backend experience working with API development and enhancements
• Knowledge of AWS and containerization technologies
• Understanding of databases and data structures
