Accounting Manager

Duties :

• Oversee operations of Accounting Department

• Maintain documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk

• Oversee production of financial reports; ensure reported results comply with GAAP

• Recommend benchmarks utilized to measure company performance

• Assist in preparation of annual budget and forecasts; report significant budget differences to management

• Develop reliable cash flow projection process and reporting including a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs

• Work with external auditors and provide information for annual audit

• Negotiate renewal of commercial company insurances

• Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting combined with 4+ years of relevant experience required

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; accounting and finance software savvy

• Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in business operations

• Excellent organizational skills, confidence to develop working instructions and processes, and attention to detail
