Duration: 12+ Months Contract with possible extension
Responsibilities:
· Operates lift trucks, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move shipments to proper departments or areas and operates stretch wrap banders and other mechanical packaging equipment as required.
· Conducts external inspections of incoming shipments and documents (photo, written)/completes paperwork for damaged goods.
· Supports incoming and outgoing small parcel and freight shipments, and mail pick- ups/deliveries and performs all computer functions (including software/scanners and package scanning) necessary to track various aspects of goods received.
· Assists with asset tagging of equipment
· Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
· Performs pick-ups, sorts, and delivers packages/mail/pallets to storage/staging/work areas as required, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
· Schedules/monitors domestic and international freight and e-waste pick-ups and deliveries.
· Responds to client requests that arrive via work order, email or at customer facing dock doors ensuring the accuracy of the response.
· Completes paperwork and reports in a timely, accurate and legible manner.
· Tracks and maintains data for reporting metrics, KPIs, volume, etc. as requested.
· Helps plan, develop, and/or implement shipping/receiving/warehouse programs, processes, and activities
· Completes work tasks as assigned and performs other duties as assigned
· Ensures dock/job safety practices aligned with OSHA and client’s standards
Experience:
· High School diploma/approved GED or equivalent combined education and experience
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Shipping & Receiving/Distribution operation preferred
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint), plus Zoom (coordination of virtual meetings); proficiency with Oracle or similar financial receiving program
· Ability to use key software currently being used including UPS ShipExec and Bear River (Bear Tracks); as well as follow all mail/package handling and security practices
· General knowledge of SOX compliance and DOT regulations, LTL/Truckload and International Tariffs, Schedule B tariff codes, and ECO terms.
· Knowledge of regulatory compliance for shipping of hazardous and non-hazardous materials both domestic and international.
· Physical requirements include ability to lift/carry at least 50 pounds
· Valid Class A driver’s license required to operate company owned vehicles as necessary.

· HSD or Equivalent experience
