What will you be doing as a Technology Infrastructure Project Manager?
This position provides overall project management for technology infrastructure projects. The primary function of this position will be to plan, schedule and track core infrastructure technology projects within the IT department. Areas covered include upgrades or new installations of desktop, server and network infrastructure hardware and software. The ability to continually identify, prioritize and mitigate day-to-day project issues and risks and effectively control project scope are critical success factors.
- Develop and continually update detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures. Ensure adherence to project management methodologies.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and manage a pipeline of future IT infrastructure projects. Oversee project status reporting based on established criteria and facilitate portfolio adjustments.
- Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate project scope, goals, milestones, budget, risks, changes, and issues to stakeholders.
- Regularly update project schedules, incorporating input from each functional team to track progress.
- Assist in estimating project costs and tracking ongoing budgets. Provide cost analysis and support the development of budget plans.
- Lead resource management, including work assignments, scheduling, and ensuring staff availability. Update project plans with resource allocations.
- Identify and document project risks and mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor and update risk status and actions.
- Collaborate with technology and business owners to analyze and manage stakeholder expectations based on approved project requirements.
- Work with the project team to integrate both technical and functional changes into the project schedules and work assignments.
- Participate in program meetings, document meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up to drive project progress.
