Job Title: Structural Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA (Fully Remote, must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area)

About The Firm: Our client is a full-service structural engineering firm based in the Bay Area. Since 2009, they have been providing innovative and efficient structural solutions for residential, multi-family, commercial, and other projects. Their team is passionate about sustainability and designing cost-effective, environmentally friendly structures. Lastly, they work collaboratively with architects and contractors to ensure our projects are built solidly and as intended.

LVI Associates are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineering with a strong background in structural engineering, who has worked on residential projects. The ideal candidate should possess a robust technical background in residential projects, with a strong emphasis on wood-construction engineering. Experience in seismic retrofitting, foundation design, and sustainable building practices is highly desirable. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structural systems for residential, commercial, and other projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Perform site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable with wood-construction engineering.
  • Must live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
