Akkodis is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a railway company located in East St. Louis, IL. In this position you will be performing Quality Control inspection, inbound & outbound, documentation of defects and buybacks on parts and sub-assemblies of rail locomotive & engine
Pay Range: $30 - $35/HR Possibly more for experience! Contract position!
Quality Control Inspector job responsibilities include:
- Performs visual inspection of parts and equipment to ensure conformance to quality standards and to identify non-conformance where it occurs (NCR).
- Performs all work according to engineering drawings, written work procedures, and verbal and written instructions.
- Uses scales, tape, calipers, micrometer, combination-square and other measuring equipment to inspect parts, equipment, and their proper installation to loco car body or other.
- Records data and findings from inspections, in formal reports and related documentation with a high degree of accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates an excellent mechanical aptitude, or progressive mechanical experience in rail car manufacturing and/or maintenance repair facilities.
- Maintain and review all quality control inspection documentation (History Book).
- Perform some inspections on supplier site.
