Responsibilities/Duties:
• Maintains and troubleshoots all aspects of PLC and PC based electrical, electro(1)mechanical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and modification of PLC based hardware and software.
• Provides and/or coordinates technical support for PLC hardware and software.
• Maintains and troubleshoots extruders, materials systems, facility power distribution systems and any electrical or electro-mechanical systems.
• Maintains and troubleshoots hydraulic, pneumatic and other industrial systems
• Provides training, as required, to departmental technicians
• May be required to provide “on-call” support when needed
• Prepare purchase orders for parts and supplies as needed
• Must perform job in a manner that is safe for all employees as well as self
• Adhere to all safety policies and best practices
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas (6S)
• Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures (6S) i.e. production floor, shipping & receiving office and warehouse as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned or required
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, etc.:
• Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechatronics engineering and 3-5 years of experience in the Controls Engineering field.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, best practices, and procedures within the Controls Engineering field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Must have good written and verbal communications skills
• Able to maintain confidential information
