Equity Staffing has a new Temporary Fiber Permitting Specialist opportunity with a leading national Engineering & Construction consulting firm that is hiring for their Akron, OH location.
Main Duties
- Will assist in serving Client’s needs in a five State region including: Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia
- Identify and prepare environmental and non-environmental permits through municipalities, townships, counties, and state departments of transportation
- Interpret engineering drawings to identify and develop permits
- Support project managers, design engineers, environmental consultants, GIS mapping specialists, vegetation management team, Right-of-Way managers and real estate coordinators as required
- Track the status of permit applications and escalate any delays or issues that may impact project timelines
- Support Client needs as directed
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science or a related natural science degree from an accredited program
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in working with Google Earth, PDF viewer/editing programs, spreadsheets and other task tracking software
- Capable of working with diverse skill sets in fast paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Valid driver’s license required. Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company’s vehicle driving privileges
- Physical capabilities including lifting 50 lbs and walking through wetland conditions
- Travel: 5%
