Senior IT Business Analyst- W2, Contract to Hire

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst in DFW accustomed to working through the full SDLC. Experience working with large datasets with strong SQL experience is required. You should have strong reporting skills and experience creating flow charts. Financial/Accounting project experience and understanding Finance/Accounting processes is required! Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and the Product Owner to translate business needs into detailed user stories for financial/accounting applications. Key tasks involve conducting gap analysis, gathering requirements, creating user stories, and generating mockups as needed. Strong reporting skills and SQL skills required.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison to elicit, analyze, and document user requirements.
• Provide user stories and define acceptance criteria for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Interview stakeholders and collaborate with development teams.
• Support design, development, and QA testing phases by clarifying requirements.
• Assist during testing and address stakeholder queries.
• Monitor progress and ensure compliance with metrics.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in SDLC business analysis with experience in SQL and large data sets.
• Background in financial/accounting projects and familiarity with related processes.
• Proficient in creating process flows using Visio.
• Strong communication skills and experience with UAT testing and Agile (Scrum).
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and business analysis skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts and think critically.
