Position: Field Service Engineer II

Company: Tokyo Electron

Location: 1500 Shoreline Dr Boise, ID 83702

Duration: 1 Year Contract converted to Full time

Pay Rate: $25/hr – $30/hr

Travel: 20%

Schedule: M - F 8:00 - 5:00


Must Haves:

  • 2 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing Mechanical and Electrical systems
  • Experience sustaining or installing semiconductor equipment within a production environment
  • Ability to work overtime and travel to other sites on an as needed basis

Pluses:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working with / troubleshooting robotic equipment
  • Experience supporting 3D-IC semiconductor equipment preferably
  • Military experience in the following MOS’:
  • Avionics Technician
  • Load Master
  • Electronics Technician


Day to Day:

Looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading equipment manufacturer within the semiconductor industry. This individual will be responsible for working onsite at one of their clients in Boise, ID. Acting as the support representative, assisting in any repairs or routine maintenance of their equipment. Each day you will begin by learning from the previous shift what activities were completed and what is still pending completion. You will also sit down with the clients leadership team to discuss any critical updates and align on priorities for that day. Strong documentation and communication skills is a must for this team as you will be responsible for providing updates to the team directly along with documentation inside of their tool.

Additional responsibilities:

-Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment

- Troubleshoots equipment problems

- Maintains records and reports as required

- Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions

- Orders and installs parts

- Responds to emergency service calls as required

- Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance

- Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed

- Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials

- Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.
