Insight Global is seeking a Sr Electrical Design Engineer to sit onsite 5 days a week in Chester, CT. This person will join an American corporation company that designs and manufactures audio and visual warning equipment for automotive, aviation, and mass notification industries worldwide. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing, integrating and supporting hardware and embedded firmware for new product development and sustaining engineering projects. This person needs to come from a Product Design background doing Embedded Firmware/Hardware development as well as hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Past experience needs to include working in an Agile environment, seeing a product design from intake to manufacturing stage, and designing in C language. This person will act as the Design Engineer for the allocated product project and will need experience being hands working cross functionally creating schematics and proof of concept. Experience coding in C++ and CAD is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience

-5+ years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer delivering through an entire product lifecycle doing Embedded Firmware development -Background working in cross functional Agile teams -Proficient in firmware development with C programming language -Experience creating schematics and proof of concept

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with coding language C++ and CAD software -Experience in an automotive or aviation industry - Familiar with CAN, USB, Ethernet and other common communication protocols. - Familiar with embedded Linux development.
