Position Summary:
The Business Development and Sales Specialist will focus on generating new business opportunities and cultivating strong relationships with existing clients. The role demands a strategic thinker who excels in a fast-paced environment and can effectively communicate the value of our services to prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development : Identify, research, and target new business opportunities to expand our client base.
- Client Acquisition : Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, leading prospects through the sales cycle to closure.
- Client Retention : Collaborate with the account management team to strengthen relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Market Research : Analyze market trends, industry demands, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Proposal Creation : Develop tailored proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value of our services.
- Sales Strategy : Design and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Reporting : Track sales metrics and provide regular updates and insights to the management team.
- Collaboration : Work closely with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally in logistics, distribution, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary: $28,000/year.
- Performance-based commission: 10% of the first year’s revenue from new accounts.
- Bonus potential: $5,000 for securing $500,000 in new annual business.
