The Japanese Division of HAND Hospitality includes concepts like Izakaya MEW , Yakitori Nonono , TOWA , and Okonomi YUJI Ramen , with more to come. We are seeking a Senior Designer to help bring these concepts to life through consistent, creative, and engaging designs across both digital and print platforms.

HAND Hospitality’s Japanese-Division is looking for a creative and experienced Senior Designer to support our restaurants with high-quality branded materials and visual communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong design portfolio, attention to detail, and a passion for the food & beverage industry .

• Branded Materials for Restaurants:
• Design, maintain, and continuously improve materials such as:
• Restaurant menus, seasonal and promotional items.
• Signage, posters, and printed materials.
• Event invitations, product packaging, and takeout materials.
• Websites, newsletters, and email communications.
• Collaborate with restaurant teams to ensure all visual elements meet brand standards and enhance the customer experience.
• Social Media & Digital Content:
• Work with the marketing team to create engaging social media posts, stories, and promotional content to drive engagement and support campaigns.
• Support photoshoots to capture high-quality visuals for use across digital and menu print platforms.
• Brand Consistency:
• Develop and update brand guidelines to ensure uniformity across all visual communications, including those created by external partners.
• Identify opportunities to refine and improve the overall visual identity for each restaurant.
• In-House Printing:
• Coordinate with sister divisions to manage in-house printing needs, such as menu printing, poster production, and special event materials.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in graphic design, preferably in the hospitality or food & beverage industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Lightroom).
• Basic knowledge of website platforms such as Squarespace or Wix.
• Familiarity with social media management tools.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative problem solver with a passion for innovative design solutions.
• Experience working with external resources and agencies.
• Other Requirements:
• Fluent in English.
• Must work onsite at our Midtown, NYC office.
• Strong interest in hospitality, food & beverage, and restaurants, aligned with HAND Hospitality’s mission.
