Babbo Restaurant & Enoteca is seeking a Sommelier to join our iconic Restaurant in New York City. Joe Bastianich is a pioneer in the world of Italian food and wine in the United States and his passion and drive have created some of the most unique, expansive and exciting wine programs in the country. The Sommelier position at Babbo is intended to be a position for a motivated, ambitious candidate seeking to continue a career in the wine business. Candidates should be comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Sommelier positions at Babbo are:
• Full time positions
• Compensation is hourly salary plus tips
• Health Care Benefits (Medical and Dental) are offered after 90 days of
employment
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
• Receive and stock product
• Work with entire sommelier team to educate staff
• Work with all FOH staff to expedite and provide excellent service to all
guests
• Take part in monthly inventory
• Must be able to repeatedly lift and move 50 pound boxes
