Classification: Exempt

Supervisor Status: Supervising

Compensation: Starting at $110,000 annually

Department: Clinical

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Evening/weekend availability as needed)

Location: Mt. Joy, PA

Start Date: ASAP

Reporting Relationship: The Program Director reports to the Director of Clinical Services for all of the duties and responsibilities listed below and for other duties that the Director of Clinical Services may assign.

About Behavior Interventions, Inc.

Behavior Interventions was founded in 2006 by two Board Certified Behavior Analysts with a mission to provide quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to our families in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our team is composed of clinical and administrative team members all focused on creating meaningful change in the lives of those we serve. We are seeking a Program Director to support our Clinical team and maintain our ABA/EP treatment center in Mt. Joy, PA.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Objective # 1: Responsible for staff development of direct reports:

Oversees the ABA program and the Enhanced ABA Program. ABA program consists of EIBI in the treatment center, as well as services in the home, school, and community. The Enhanced ABA Program is designed to help clients that display high levels of self-injurious behavior, physical aggression, property destruction or other behaviors which present a significant risk to self or others and severe problematic behavior that has not responded to other treatments or other services. The program utilizes ABA-based interventions within a trauma-informed philosophy.
Identifies and implements quality control measures while supporting staff to provide exceptional services. Services include Caregiver Guidance, Behavior Consultation, Assessments, and Behavior Change Interventions based on the science of behavior analysis
Utilizes the science of behavior-analysis to teach skills to direct reports, their supervisees, and caregivers
Prepares topics, maintains accurate records (ie. agenda/notes), and runs scheduled meetings including: weekly meetings with Behavior Consultants and Assistant Directors, monthly individual supervision with direct reports, monthly team meetings, and other department meetings as assigned
Completes monthly and quarterly direct observation of Behavior Analysts, Assistant Behavior Analysts, Assistant Directors providing feedback on performance, ensuring satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols, program development, and supervision of Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technicians. Direct observation includes on-site, live-virtual and recorded sessions.
Implements strategies to support clinical staff in meeting and exceeding expectations. Strategies include providing feedback, training and coaching on behavior-analytic strategies as appropriate, and implementing performance improvement plans.
Works with clinical leadership and human resources in employee selection, retention and termination proceedings for Assistant Program Director, Program Specialist, Program Supervisor, Scheduler and Behavior Analyst positions for designated office location. Activities include interviewing and selecting candidates, orienting new hires, and participating in decisions relating to disciplinary action.
Provides direct supervision to Program Specialist, Program Supervisor, Assistant Program Director, Behavior Consultants, Behavior Analysts, and Scheduler
Provides crisis management support during sessions and general treatment center coverage

Objective #2: Maintains administrative and non-clinical functions to ensure continued success of families served, treatment team, employee and organization as a whole. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Upholds all Behavior Interventions standards, policies and procedures including our equal employment opportunity, anti-harassment, anti-discrimination policies.
Support with client referrals and staffing of treatment teams
Maintains appropriate written documentation of supervision and team meetings including discussion of clinical programming, performance goals, expectations and corrective feedback when applicable.
Attends assigned trainings, performance meetings, monthly supervision meetings, monthly team meetings, weekly supervision meetings with the Director of Clinical Services or Assistant Director of Clinical Services and other administrative meetings as assigned
Operates as a mandated reporter, maintaining awareness of signs or reports of suspected abuse or neglect and reporting to the appropriate state reporting line
Maintains knowledge of current research and best practices in the field of behavior analysis; attends trainings, networking events, conducts independent research
Manages front desk support, managing phone lines during business hours,and greeting team members and guests upon arrival
Supports the management of current treatment center services, i.e., EIBI; supports the development of new programs (e.g., Summer Camp)
Participates in committees (e.g., RPC, Ethics, Cultural Competence)
Participates in clinical-based initiatives/projects
Participates in provider audits and supports with the implementation of quality improvement plans

Objective #3: Engages in professional development activities and supports the professional development of Behavior Interventions team members through approved supervision activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develops and maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis through interaction with other ABA based professionals as well as ongoing professional development opportunities within and outside of Behavior Interventions and maintains certification by meeting training and supervision standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
Collaborates with clinical leadership team members to promote the ongoing professional development of direct reports and other clinical professionals within the organization
Offers BACB supervision experience opportunities to supervisees in the BACB Supervision Experience (BSE) program
Completes RBT Competency Assessments for eligible Behavior Technicians
Participate in committees (e.g., RPC, Ethics, Cultural Competence)

Requirements:

Masters degree in education, applied behavior analysis or psychology
Board Certification (BCBA) through the BACB
Behavior Specialist License through PA Board of Medicine (for PA applicants only)
Maintains BCBAcredential through the BACB, and LBS through the PA Board of Medicine (for PA clinicians only) and reports to supervisor and human resources within five days of any certification or licensing status change
Maintains clearances, credentials and certifications as requested by Behavior Interventions and servicing providers
5 years experience with BCBA certification, developing and implementing behavior analytic programs and completing assessments, required
5 years of supervisory experience preferred; minimum of 3 years supervisory experience required (supervising BCBAs)
5 years experience working with adolescents with severe problem behavior
Obtains crisis intervention certification (PCM or SCM) and maintains annual certification requirements. Training is scheduled through Behavior Interventions.
Willingness to travel throughout specified counties for *site visits when in-person support is deemed clinically appropriate.
Experience with VBMAPP, PEAK, PFA/SBT, AFLS preferred
Experience running group meetings and conducting interviews preferred
Experience creating clinical organizational systems preferred
Experience developing trainings preferred
Experience with PA insurance provider requirements preferred OR willingness to learn
Valid form of ID
Ability to pass federal and state background checks
Must have reliable transportation

Working Conditions:

Ability to move, ascend/descend, position self, transport while exerting (lift, carry, push or pull) 5-10 lbs constantly, 25 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
Ability to move quickly to remain within arms reach of client(s)
Ability to meet the physical requirements to successfully complete the physical components of the crisis intervention certification and implementation of interventions during the workday:
Ability to balance physical movement
Ability to support the weight of an individual while moving (kneeling) to the ground and a capacity to sit and kneel in various positions
Ability to move from a kneeling position to standing without assistance approximately 5 times in one minute
Ability to travel within the counties of clients served within the program; reliable transportation
