Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Full-time, Chambersburg, PA
Job Summary:
AllerVie is seeking a seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing allergy and immunology clinic in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Offering excellent care is at the heart of what we do. The NP or PA will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients including diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Promote and maintain patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician
Contribute to a physician’s efficiency by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues
Assess patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examination including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries and recommend options and courses of action for patient care
Prescribe medications and other treatments
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Develop and implement treatment plans and implement physician directives
Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Master degree in Nursing, graduate from accredited NP or PA program, current Maryland Board license and PANCE certification
National Provider Identifier (NPI)
BLS certification
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy
Able to work in fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.
Must demonstrate leadership ability through both superior clinical skills and as a practice development resource
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
