We are seeking a *Medical Assistant *to join our team at Hawthorn Medical Associates in North Dartmouth, MA. In this position, you will assist physicians in providing high-quality patient care and customer service.



*Responsibilities:*
* Perform pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient records and determining needed services
* Enter patient’s chief complaint, medication reconciliation, history and other services as outlined in workflow protocol and note all patient health concerns
* Prepare patients for examination and treatment by escorting patients to the exam room
* Obtain and prepare laboratory specimens for testing; may include phlebotomy
* Take vital signs, weigh patients and record information in the patient’s chart
* Ensure exam/procedure rooms are cleaned and stocked



*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Graduate of a formal medical assistant training program (degree or certificate)
* CPR certification
* Understanding of basic medical terminology, processes, techniques and procedures
* Some relevant experience preferred
