Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated *Medical Receptionist *with a positive attitude to join our team at Hawthorn Medical Associates in North Dartmouth, MA. The schedule for this position will vary.



*Responsibilities:*
* Greet and register patients
* Manage telephone and schedule appointments
* Collect co-pays, deductibles and other related payments
* Provide new patients with registration forms and set up electronic and hard copy charts
* Verify patient demographics and insurance information at each visit
* Verify referrals, obtain required authorization and confirm registration information
* Prepare billing packets



*Qualifications*:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Front-desk experience, especially within a medical clinic/setting, strongly preferred
* Experience with multi-line phone and computer systems and the ability to type
* Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance plans and referral procedures preferred
* Must be flexible and customer/patient focused, with the ability to work both independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment
* Bilingual communication skills are a plus
