Zak The Baker, James Beard Nominated and Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient, is an Artisan Bakery & Cafe in Wynwood that is now looking to hire a Chef De Cuisine for the Savory Kitchen. Qualified candidates should have a culinary degree and/or a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in a high quality kitchen.
Cafe Operating Hours: 7am - 5pm, Closed Every Saturday & All Evenings.
Responsibilities
- Quality control of Prep, Garde Manger, & Hot Line
- Development of seasonal menus & specials
- Mentorship & prorfessional development of team
- Create, monitor, & enforce Starndard Operating Procedures
- Daily kitchen intradepartmental reports and daily interdepartmental reports (FOH, Bread, Pastry, Maintenance, ETC).
- Recruitment & Retention
- Training & Performance Managment
- Budgets & Control of COL, COG
- Compliance Food Safety
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years experience at a similar professional culinary environment.
- Culinary Degree is preferred.
