Manufacturing Engineer - Process Equipment Acquisition and Commissioning
Location: Normal Illinois

Role Overview:
Blue Chip Talent is currently looking to hire a mid level Manufacturing Engineer to support the Normal site with the acquisition and commissioning of new process equipment. This position will play a key role in leading process development, station layout design, equipment reviews, and ensuring that new systems are fully operational and aligned with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing engineering, automated systems, and process optimization.
What You’ll Do:
- Apply your education, training, and experience to support the acquisition and commissioning of new process equipment at the Normal site.
- Lead process development and station layout design using industry standards, including Cycle Time (MODAPTS) and ergonomics principles.
- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFMA) by evaluating new designs and providing feedback to cross-functional teams.
- Lead New Equipment Reviews, including Kickoff meetings, Build Shop processes, Installation, Commissioning, Safety assessments, and Final Buy-Off.
- Lead the New Equipment Start-Up process, including the development of Control Plans, Maintenance Plans, and Performance Tracking to ensure smooth and successful equipment integration.
What You’ll Need:
- 2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or similar role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Robotics, PLCs, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in designing, creating, and commissioning automated equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally with teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
