Nuclear Medicine Technologist Full Time at Holy Cross Hospital Careers summary: A Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using specialized equipment and radiopharmaceuticals. This role requires independent judgment, technical proficiency, and the maintenance of patient records to ensure high-quality care. The position involves flexible shifts, including on-call duties, and is crucial for supporting diagnostic studies in a healthcare setting. *Employment Type:* Part time *Shift:* Rotating Shift *Description:* Monday thru Friday day shift flexible hours including on call and holiday rotation rotation to PET CT as needed*Position Purpose* Nuclear medicine technologists perform tests for diagnosis and medical research. They prepare and give small doses of radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) to patients, then use high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the body *What you will do* * Performs diagnostic studies on a variety of gamma cameras and computer systems. * Operates equipment without assistance; exercises independent judgment, performing procedures of high quality and with a high degree of proficiency and technical skills. * Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor. * Equipment is cleaned daily and meets infection control standards. * Maintains accurate patient records and charges. * Requests assistance in complex situations. *Minimum Qualifications:* * High School Diploma or equivalent is required. * Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program. *Licensure:* * Florida CRT license is required. * ARRT or NMTCB is required. * BLS certification is required. *Position Highlights and Benefits:* Comprehensive benefit packages available, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 403B, and education assistance.
