Job Description: Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Boise, ID
- Position: Cardiothoracic Surgeon
- Location: Boise, ID
- Shifts: 7am-7am (24-hour on-call shifts, weekend coverage required)
- On Call Requirements: Yes, daily call and occasional PTO coverage
- Number of Positions: 1
- Rate:
- On-call: $2,750 per 24-hour shift (includes 3 hours gratis)
- Call back: $310/hour after gratis hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Cover occasional weekend on-call and PTO for the Cardiothoracic Surgery team.
- Perform adult cardiac and general thoracic surgeries, including:
- Aortic dissection, CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
- Tube thoracostomy, Pericardial window, Thoracotomy lung resections and pneumonectomy
- Heart valve repair/replacement surgery, Dissection, VA + VV ECMO placement.
- Work in a Cardiothoracic Surgery dedicated OR with support from 4 rotating Physician Assistants.
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric.
- Use Epic for Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Requirements:
- ACGME or AOA Accredited Residency and Cardiothoracic Fellowship
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active Idaho State License or IMLC
- ACLS and DEA Certification
- Clean background with no malpractice history

- Operating Room: 1 dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery OR
- Support: 4 Physician Assistants rotate to assist in the OR
Patient Demographic: Adult and Geriatric patients requiring advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures
