Job Summary
Arc Health is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician (M.D. or D.O.) with a commitment to high-quality care and sensitivity to Native American culture and health needs. This position is essential to our multidisciplinary team, which includes physicians, podiatrists, midlevel practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, pharmacy, and laboratory personnel, as well as professionals from behavioral health, dental, and social services. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary and urgent care to patients of all ages in an outpatient clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Skills: Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations, basic lab tests (e.g., microscopic urinalysis, KOH preps), and specialized procedures as credentialed.
Diagnostic Skills: Use patient history, physical exams, and necessary lab and imaging studies to diagnose and rule out conditions. Utilize in-house resources before referring outside.
Therapeutic Skills: Prescribe and manage treatment plans, utilizing the pharmacy formulary and referring patients for specialty services when indicated.
Health Promotion: Support goals in preventive care, health promotion, and disease prevention by adhering to immunization, screening, and testing protocols.
Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrate awareness and respect for Native American cultural and spiritual values.
Leadership and Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality and efficient patient care.
Administrative Duties: Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement committees, and other organizational functions as requested.
Productivity Standards: Provide timely care with an average of 14-16 patient visits per 8-hour shift, including efficient handling of routine and complex patient needs.
Qualifications
Education: M.D. or D.O. from an accredited program
- Current California Medical License
DEA License
American Board of Family Medicine Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (hands-on training required)
Minimum two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
