Schedule:
- Cardiac Surgery locum will cover from Monday, April 24 at 6 AM until Friday, April
- The locum physician will round on the admitted patients of cardiac surgery (8-10 patients) or those consulted to cardiac surgery (2-4 patients) daily along with a cardiac surgery PA.
- The locums will be on 24 hour call during this time frame
- STAT consults must be seen within 4 hours. All others must be seen within 24 hours.
- The locum physician will be expected to perform emergency surgeries as needed.
- The locum will cover the ER, OR, Trauma and cath lab.
- Charting is done electronically and must be complete and signed off prior to departure.
- The cardiac surgery PA will have all discharge paperwork and follow-up appointments scheduled for any patient being discharged.
Requirements :
- Cardiothoracic Surgical Fellowship Trained, Board Certified; will consider a physician who is not thoracic surgery trained and only cardiac surgery trained.
- EPIC training and orientation required prior to start of coverage.
