About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on commercial construction projects. This role involves ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines, as well as leading a diverse team of professionals to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, coordination, and execution of all MEP systems on commercial construction projects.
• Ensure MEP systems meet design specifications, client requirements, and local building codes.
• Lead and manage project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to guide teams effectively.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones, resolving issues to maintain timelines and cost control.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
• Manage and document MEP-related activities, including progress reports, RFI responses, and change orders.
• Act as the primary liaison for MEP-related matters, addressing field issues and escalating concerns when necessary.
• Ensure construction procedures align with industry best practices and project management principles.
• Collaborate with clients and project managers to provide updates and address any concerns.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing MEP systems on commercial construction projects.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team of professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction quality control, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Preferred: Professional certification in project management (PMP) or a related field.
