A well-established industry leader in the construction sector seeks a Chief Legal Officer to join their executive team. Job Duties:

• Serve as trusted advisor to CEO, board, and executive team, providing strategic guidance that balances business objectives with legal risk management
• Lead corporate legal strategies to protect and promote company interests, including intellectual property management and oversight of investments and M&A activities
• Draft, review and negotiate critical company legal documents, contracts, and agreements
• Determine need for and manage selection of outside counsel relationships
• Oversee legal framework supporting employee stock ownership structures and succession planning

Qualifications:

• JD from ABA-accredited law school with active US law license in good standing
• 15+ years experience in corporate business law and governance, preferably within construction industry
• Proven track record leading legal strategy, intellectual property management, and M&A oversight
• Strong background in employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) and management succession planning
