Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Project Management Consultant to oversee and drive strategic projects within a client environment. This role requires a robust blend of expertise in IT project management and IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless execution of critical projects. The Consultant will be responsible for managing single or multiple projects, reporting to respective Project Sponsors, and utilizing both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and closure of complex projects effectively integrating IT project management principles.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with IT teams, delivery managers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to ensure project success and operational readiness.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with project sponsors and key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria. Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, milestones, and budget status.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and risk assessments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project management practices, leveraging lessons learned and industry best practices.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record in managing information technology projects.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale projects from initiation through completion.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and project management methodologies. Familiarity with healthcare IT systems is advantageous.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications: PMP certification preferred. Additional certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master) are a plus
