hackajob has partnered with leading insurance company and are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in C++ to join our dynamic team.

Role: Senior C++ Software Engineer

Location: Boston, MA, USA, (Hybrid set-up)

Salary: $140k + Benefits

Employment Type: Fulltime

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to development of cloud-based analytical framework, algorithms, and tooling
• Proactively contribute to software performance optimizations
• Proactively contribute improvements to code quality, robustness, and development processes
• Enhance functional capabilities of the existing system
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and software defects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years in commercial-grade software development focused on backend business logic, frameworks, scalability, and system performance.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience developing Windows/Linux applications using C++ .
• Strong knowledge of design patterns.
• Familiarity with code analysis and performance tunning tools.
• Enthusiastic, quick learner with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and strong organizational skills in dynamic, team-oriented environments.

Preferred:

• Has 3+ years experience with distributed systems or cloud platforms .
• With solid experienced in Docker , C++ , C , catastrophe modeling , scalability engineering , and cloud computing .
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, Java ).
• Exposure to machine learning or data processing frameworks.
