Casco Products Corporation, a global Tier One electronics and electromechanical supplier to the automotive industry, is looking for a Lab Technician to join our team in Novi, Michigan.

JOB SUMMARY :

The Lab Technician will be responsible for bench testing and fabrication activities for low and high voltage electronics and electromechanical products.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform bench tests for electronic products.
  • Report test results in a concise manner.
  • Test fixture and wire harness fabrication.
  • PCBA fabrication and modifications.
  • Maintain lab, equipment and supplies.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years’ minimum experience in automotive electronics design lab environment.
  • Associate’s degree preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to use measurement and test equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Basic electronics troubleshooting.
  • Soldering/desoldering components.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical and electromechanical materials, PCBs and components.
  • Knowledgeable in high current (up to 500A) and high voltage (up to 1000V) designs.
  • Knowledge base of automotive standards, OSHA compliance standards and automotive core tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication proficiency, capable decision making, and problem solving/analysis.
  • Professional and cooperative demeanor.
  • Reliable, self-directed and capable of working independently, with the ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously and use sound judgment in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, team-oriented person who can anticipate needs, take initiative with excellent follow-through and require little direction or supervision.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office and laboratory setting.
  • Little to no travel required (international and domestic).
