At PriceSmart, you’ll be important in transforming how technology supports financial operations. As an IT Business Analyst – Finance Technology , you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and integrate financial systems, enhance workflows, and drive innovation in financial processes. You’ll be at the heart of initiatives that ensure compliance, efficiency, and strategic insights for operations spanning multiple countries. You’re an IT Business Analyst with a knack for translating complex business needs into actionable solutions. With hands-on experience in ERP platforms and financial processes, you bring strong analytical thinking, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to the table. You thrive in dynamic environments, aligning technology with business goals and delivering results that enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis:
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements related to financial systems and processes.
- Translate Finance-specific needs into functional specifications for ERP and other technology solutions.
ERP Solution Design and Integration:
- Evaluate and enhance the use of ERP systems, such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Financials, or Workday Finance , to meet Finance objectives.
- Partner with IT teams to configure, customize, and implement ERP modules tailored to Finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payments, and Treasury.
- Lead the integration of ERP systems with other financial tools or platforms, ensuring seamless workflows.
Process Documentation and System Migration:
- Document existing financial processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements aligned with best practices.
- Assist in system migrations and ensure smooth transitions through effective documentation and stakeholder coordination.
Agile Development and User Story Refinement:
- Familiarize with Agile methodologies and contribute to the creation and refinement of user stories.
- Work with development teams to ensure user stories are actionable, detailed, and aligned with Finance objectives.
Collaboration and Strategic Alignment:
- Work closely with IT teams to align Finance technology solutions with broader corporate goals in HR, Legal, and other departments.
- Act as a thought leader in Finance technology by researching and recommending industry best practices.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms, such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Financials, or Workday Finance.
- Combined experience with other ERP systems (e.g., AS400/JDE, TM1, Kyriba Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or JD Edwards) is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in IT business analysis, with a focus on Finance operations and system implementation.
- Familiarity with electronic invoicing and system migrations.
- Proficiency in documenting financial processes and supporting system transitions.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of financial workflows, including accounting, general ledger, payments, and treasury.
- Strong presentation and communication skills to convey technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including writing and refining user stories.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
