IT Business Analyst

Employment Type: Long-term Contract

Location: The Colony, TX

Work Setting: Hybrid


The IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between technology capabilities and business objectives. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of tasks related to software analysis, design, testing, and implementation. The role involves evaluating user needs, creating system solutions, documenting requirements, and defining project scopes and objectives. The IT Business Analyst serves as a liaison between technical teams and end-users, combining business acumen with technical expertise to deliver effective solutions.



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into detailed documentation.
  • Develop design specifications for application features and enhancements.
  • Follow the organization’s software development life cycle methodologies.
  • Identify and address technical challenges, providing recommendations to improve system functionality.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of project statuses to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for resolving client issues, ensuring efficient communication and resolution.
  • Represent client interests and objectives to internal teams.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements in monitoring and issue detection to enhance service delivery.
  • Perform quality assurance and validation of system functionality.
  • Define and develop reporting and alerting tools to meet organizational needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, optimizing collaboration and solution development.
  • Work with leadership to prioritize and address business and information requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in CRM systems.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and uphold professional and ethical standards.
  • Promote and embody the organizational culture throughout daily activities.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in business or systems analysis, quality assurance, and requirement elicitation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL query development.
  • Experience creating process documentation and user interface design specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
