Executive Summary: HRUCKUS seeks to hire a JusticeTrax LIMS System Administrator to support the DFS—Department of Forensic Sciences—with the DC Government.
Position Description: The JusticeTrax LIMS System Administrator will provide technical support and troubleshooting for the JusticeTrax LIMS System and its associated hardware components.
Position Duties:
The selected candidate will manage desk requests and resolve system-related issues to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
The LIMS Systems Administrator will work with the team to manage and optimize the JusticeTrax Laboratory Information Management System(JTLIMS) for the Department of Forensic Sciences (DFS). This position will be a technical expert for the LIMS platform, overseeing system configuration, customization, and ongoing support and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with JusticeTrax LIMS and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of laboratory workflows and software development fundamentals. Key responsibilities include collaborating with laboratory staff, IT teams, vendors, and leadership to ensure the system aligns with organizational requirements while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards.
This role bridges the gap between laboratory operations and information technology, requiring technical expertise and the ability to translate user needs into practical solutions.
Qualifications & Expertise:
- Experience with administering JTLIMS 3.X
- Experience working in a Helpdesk supporting end-users in an enterprise environment
- Experience with troubleshooting software, network, and hardware
- Experience supporting and maintaining both desktop and web applications
- Experience with label printers and handheld scanners
- Communication skills, both written and spoken, business-level English mandatory
- Strong documentation skills
The target annual salary is $62,000.
