Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is seeking a System Engineer/System Administrator for a role supporting the State of New York.

Position Description: The role is set to begin very quickly and set up a team of onsite consultants at various NY-area locations that can assist our client’s Operational Technology (OT) groups in supporting new and ongoing cybersecurity projects.

Responsibilities Include:

• Set up and deploy devices, including defining access policy for Active Directory.
• Define requirements for conditional access policy for Azure Active Directory.
• Install hardware/software, including anti-virus software.
• Work closely with IT/OT to support best practices related to security, application optimization, business processes, and issue resolutions.
• Systems administration, including patching, security, and in-house systems troubleshooting.
• Document process and procedures.
• Identify and develop process improvements and efficiencies.

Mandatory Skills:

• Demonstrated experience with large-scale, enterprise-level deployments (including desktops and servers).
• Strong background in Windows configurations, administration, and deployments, including Windows Server and Active Directory management and hardening.
• Proficiency in virtualization, infrastructure, and endpoint credential management.
• Experience with privilege and access management, vulnerability, and patch management.
• Experience in desktop support, securing/hardening desktops, and implementing endpoint security tools (e.g., Trellix, Crowdstrike).
