Availability: This is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement of 3 days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
This company is a premium provider of frozen Asian food, headquartered in Tukwila, WA. As one of the fastest-growing Asian brands in the grocery freezer aisle, they are committed to delivering high-quality products to their customers.
They are actively seeking a talented and motivated Bilingual Financial Analyst (Japanese/English) to join their dynamic team. Your goal will be ensuring the profitability of the business through analysis, plan, proposal, and controls. Through data, develop, monitor and display KPI’s that support business objectives. This role supports the Executive Team in communication with Japanese speaking business partners.
Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and meeting deadlines are the keys to being successful in this position. This position reports to the Director of Finance with a dotted line to the CEO
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Analysis:
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze monthly forecast and financial position including cash flow and budget.
- Monitor and assist with Corporate Governance initiatives.
- Ability to utilize financial analysis techniques, including discounted cash flow, net present value, internal rate of return.
- Ability to generate and present KPI reports to support financial strategies.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau for effective data visualization.
- Support high touch QBR (Quarterly Business Review) preparation for cross-functional teams.
- Understand underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions.
Language Interpretation & Translation:
- Act as intermediary during executive metings between parent company and board members who are Japanese speaking.
- Assist in the preparation and facilitating smooth communication between and among the Executive Team and Nichirei Liaison business partners.
- Ensure accurate conveyance of messages, especially when dealing with sensitive or potentially negative information
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Relevant work and/or education experience in finance or related field
- Understanding of industry terminology
- Experience using Great Plains Dynamics software preferred
- Ability to work autonomously with little direction
- A high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Flexible to accommodate changing business needs frequently
- Ability to clearly communicate (verbal / written) to internal/ external customers
- Attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Office and Outlook
- Ability to learn quickly and display positivity in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
