Purpose of Position: Assist sales team with order entry, credit entry, and other administrative tasks as needed. Perform customers service related tasks; answering phones, addressing inquires, providing product and service updates by communicating with customers (internal and external). Ideal candidate will have enthusiastic attitude, be an active listener, problem solver and detail-oriented. achieving revenue and margin goals and objectives. In this role, the incumbent will require to give the company a dominant presence within the sales area. The individual will also collaborate with other departments to promote company's product line and ensure continued satisfaction and success. This is a hybrid position, between FOB sales and outside business development and account management. Constant interaction with buyers daily, as well as Category Managers, Directors and VPs of Produce.
Accountabilities: - Point of contact for designated accounts, serving as an advocate for customer needs to drive success, while supporting our customers and partners in their efforts.
- Collaborate closely and effectively with Operations and Sales teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and business operations.
- Identifies risk and consults with customers to recommend best course of action for impending issues.
- Communicates related issues to Sales Team
- Post and enter sales orders, and maintain spreadsheet in system.
- Verify invoice pricing and confirm order shipments.
- Acts as primary point of contact to process customer credits, deductions, pricing issues, etc into the appropriate systems
- Research and reconcile customer/sales team claims and account information.
- Assist with order rejections, and resolution of claim approval process.
- Handle heavy e-mail, fax and call volume.
- Weekend coverage might be required based on company needs.
- Review all credit memos requiring approval before submission to Account Receivables
- Assist as needed with trouble files, R&A, Balance Dues, and Past Dues are settled within the Company's time guidelines.

- Some off-hour accessibility to sales representative to address customer needs
- Assist with accounts and provide some backup capacity to handle accounts when shorthanded
- Provide best in class customer experience that exhibit highest standards of professionalism
- Generate department reports as needed.

Minimum Skills Required: - BA/BS degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred in fresh produce sales office
- Experience working with retailers, foodservice distributors, and wholesalers
- Relationship management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical skills, including demonstrated proficiencies in Excel. JDE and SAP a plus
- Ability to interact with and adapt to different personalities and work styles
- Ability to balance customers' needs with the financial well-being of the Company.
- Ability to work independently within the guidelines provided

- Ability to track down data from internal sources in a professional but persistent manner
