Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator for a 6-month contract role. The ideal candidate will have expertise in VMware ESX, vCenter, SAN management, and Veeam Backup solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting the organization s virtualized infrastructure and storage systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain VMware ESX and vCenter environments, including provisioning, patching, and performance tuning.
• Oversee SAN storage systems, including configuration, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer and optimize Veeam Backup & Replication solutions to ensure reliable data protection and disaster recovery.
• Monitor and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring system uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical projects and deployments.
• Perform routine audits and updates to maintain compliance with security and operational standards.
• Provide documentation, reporting, and training as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator working with VMware ESX and vCenter.
• Strong knowledge of SAN technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell for automation.
• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), or equivalent.
