Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator for a 6-month contract role. The ideal candidate will have expertise in VMware ESX, vCenter, SAN management, and Veeam Backup solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting the organization s virtualized infrastructure and storage systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain VMware ESX and vCenter environments, including provisioning, patching, and performance tuning.
- Oversee SAN storage systems, including configuration, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
- Administer and optimize Veeam Backup & Replication solutions to ensure reliable data protection and disaster recovery.
- Monitor and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring system uptime and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical projects and deployments.
- Perform routine audits and updates to maintain compliance with security and operational standards.
- Provide documentation, reporting, and training as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator working with VMware ESX and vCenter.
- Strong knowledge of SAN technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell for automation.
- Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), or equivalent.
