Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Lead Line Cook to oversee our kitchen team, lead by example, and help maintain the high standards of culinary quality and efficiency that City Pharmacy is known for. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth kitchen operations, managing the line, preparing and cooking dishes to perfection, and training junior cooks. You’ll work closely with our kitchen manager & general manager to ensure consistency, cleanliness, and the overall success of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, organize, and manage the kitchen line during service
  • Prepare high-quality dishes according to City Pharmacy’s menu and standards
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the kitchen meets health regulations
  • Handle and resolve any kitchen issues promptly to ensure smooth service flow
  • Ensure all food is prepared and plated according to our established recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and motivating environment for the kitchen team

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and maintain high standards under pressure
  • In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while staying organized and efficient
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Passion for food and a commitment to culinary excellence
  • Flexibility with scheduling (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Culinary degree or formal training is a plus, but not required
