Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the financial industry, is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician. This role involves leading data center projects, monitoring critical systems, and ensuring the smooth execution of business and batch processes. The position requires 10-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, on a rotating three-week schedule (CST time zone).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead data center projects and analyses.
• Monitor zOS servers, iSeries production activities, and file transmissions (FTPs).
• Oversee critical batch processes, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Resolve issues proactively and escalate critical incidents as needed.
• Maintain documentation, perform shift turnovers, and train team members.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Participate in annual disaster recovery testing and bridge calls for major incidents.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Computer Science degree preferred.
• 2+ years of data center or computer operations experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
