Strativ is working with a venture-backed deep tech/defense tech startup bringing cutting-edge video technology to Aerospace applications. Based in Los Angeles, CA, they are seeking highly passionate, skilled, and experienced Algorithms/Video Engineers with a focus on cutting edge video processing technology, to join their team. You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of advanced computer vision and video processing pipelines to support their patent-pending software.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement computer vision algorithms on embedded systems for tracking identifying, tracking, and classifying anomalies using high-speed cameras.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
- Design and optimize AI/ML models for deployment on resource-constrained embedded platforms.
- Perform algorithm evaluation and optimization to ensure efficient and accurate real-time performance of high frame rate machine vision systems.
- Document and communicate technical concepts, algorithms, and implementation details effectively to team members and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members and foster this professional growth.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in developing and implementing machine learning and computer vision algorithms.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ & Python (embedded software development is a plus)
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field.
- Experience with hardware-software integration and optimization for embedded systems, including GPU acceleration, FPGA implementation, multi-core parallel processing.
- Experience working with video processing pipelines and workflows.
- Proficiency in working with popular embedded platforms, such as ARM-based SoCs and microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with basic image processing techniques, camera systems, and sensor integration.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development for embedded systems.

- Salary: $150,000 - $220,000 (depending on experience)
