The Role:
The Construction Administrator will serve as a critical support function within the project management team, ensuring smooth communication, thorough documentation, and compliance with project requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a top-tier general contractor and grow within a dynamic and professional environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Organizing and managing all project-related documentation, including contracts, permits, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules.
- Acting as a liaison between project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate clear and effective communication.
- Preparing and reviewing contracts and other project documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Tracking project milestones and deadlines, providing timely updates to all stakeholders.
- Coordinating submissions and approvals for submittals, shop drawings, and related materials.
- Monitoring budgets, invoices, and expenses to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Documenting meetings, decisions, and project updates to maintain accurate records.
- Ensuring all activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Addressing administrative challenges and resolving issues that arise during projects.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (a bonus!).
- 2-3 years of experience in construction administration or a similar role.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of construction processes, documentation, and terminology.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
