Position: Risk Engineer

Location: Chicago (preferred) / Columbus, OH / Minneapolis, MN / Detroit, MI – Onsite 3 days per week from start

Duration: 3 months CTH

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with IT, Risk, and Cyber teams to optimize and automate risk controls.
• Design, develop, test, and implement automation for technology controls.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for code development and lifecycle management.
• Support periodic control testing and maintain automation scripts.
• Lead innovative design and development of new automated controls.
• Foster continuous improvement and stay current on industry practices.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years in risk management, engineering, or technology roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or certifications in technology or risk management.
• Expertise in Python, Ansible, and Agile practices.
• Experience with IT platform engineering, GRC tools (e.g., Archer), SPLUNK, and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk assessment tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
