Overview:

The Technology Consultant plays a critical role in designing, reviewing, and managing the implementation of technical solutions that support the organization's business outcomes. This position involves working with on-premises, cloud-based (including AWS), third-party, and custom applications, as well as complex data systems, while adhering to architectural and technology standards. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, consulting skills, and a service-oriented mindset to deliver innovative, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Solution Design:

• Develop architectural documents, technical specifications, and other design deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and enhance the technology environment.
• Balance operational needs with long-term strategic goals in solution design.

Technical Design Review:

• Review vendor proposals, solutions, and platform choices for alignment with standards.
• Evaluate data migrations, integrations, security, and compliance considerations.
• Ensure compatibility with existing systems and future strategic goals.

Project Management & Consulting:

• Lead or contribute to the selection and implementation of complex systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate trade-offs, costs, and system impacts.
• Provide expertise in cloud technologies, including vendor and platform evaluations, with a focus on AWS.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Work in and lead cross-functional teams, including colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
• Foster a collaborative environment and contribute to the improvement of design and implementation practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 7+ years in consulting, systems implementation, enterprise architecture, or cloud computing.
• Proven experience in cloud-based software design and implementation, particularly with AWS.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with system integrations, data migrations, and complex software environments.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead collaborative teams and execute complex projects successfully.
