Job Description

Job Title: IT Coordinator

Reporting To: Senior Manager of IT

Overview:

The IT Coordinator ensures seamless functionality and support across corporate and retail environments. This proactive role involves managing systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with external vendors to uphold exceptional service and operational excellence.


Responsibilities

Technical Support

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues across corporate offices and retail stores.
  • Resolve system and application issues promptly to minimize downtime and operational impact.
  • Prioritize, escalate, and track unresolved issues to higher-level support teams, ensuring timely resolution.


Systems Management

  • Maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, networks, and cloud solutions.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and software licensing to ensure security and compliance.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.


Vendor Coordination

  • Liaise with external vendors for software updates, hardware repairs, and IT-related contracts.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies or upgrades that align with business objectives.


Training and Documentation

  • Conduct onboarding/offboarding processes to provide an elevated user experience for new hires and ensure proper offboarding for departing employees.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on new systems or technology enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, inventory, and issue resolution procedures.


Team Contribution

  • Act as a team player, participating in departmental initiatives to achieve overall objectives.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Lead by example, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, professionalism, and ethics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Lift/Carry up to 10 lbs: Occasionally
  • Lift/Carry 10–20 lbs: Rarely


Travel: 5%


Education

  • Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in technical roles may substitute for a degree.


Work Experience

  • 3–5 years of deskside support experience, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Experience in retail IT support is a plus.


Technical Skills

  • Certifications: CompTIA A+ certification is highly desirable.
  • Retail-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with retail operations, including new store openings and IT infrastructure setup.
  • Experience with retail software/systems such as Cegid, POS, ERP, CRM, or SAP Ariba is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
